YIPPPPPPEEEEE!!!

Daddys tumor has SHRUNK by 1/2!!!!!
He had his port put in yesterday and today had his 3rd Chemo treatment.
Before the chemo, his doctor informed him that his cancer has shrunk by 1/2. He did warn us, however, that the tumor could grow again... I guess that's just the nature of the beast.?!!??!!

Dad's in great spirits today. THIS is the type of news he needed! Heck, we ALL needed this news!
In my head, over and over, are the words "Our God is an Awesome God'".... you know, that commercial that sells the Christian Music CD's...I can't think of anything better to be repeating in my head!!!
Thanks for the prayers.... THEY WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dad's Update

Here is Daddy with no hair. He lost half of his mustache about 2 weeks after his first treatment, so he shaved the rest off. He had to shave off his 'sweatband' (as I call it... he's normally bald on the top with some hair around the sweatband area!) after it started falling out. I swear, he looks 10 years yonger! I guess it's because his hair and mustache where white/gray!

We've been thru 2 chemo treatments and have the 3rd of 6 next Wednesday (4/02/08). This Thursday (3/27/08) dad has a CT done to see how much the tumor has shrunk! PLEASE pray... Pray that the chemo is working on the tumor and that it is shrinking!

Thanks for the prayers! We've had some encouraging news, proving that PRAYER WORKS!!!!

Monogram Art

Isn't this CUTE!!!!
I found this idea here and thought I'd give it a try.

My mom had a friend make the 'H' and I painted it, used a little sand paper to scuff it up, printed photos and tied them to it! Super Easy!

It sits on our mantle.

Dad is having his 2nd of 6 Chemo treatments today. Please pray that he will get thru this one with little-to-no side effects.

Be kinder.....

"Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle."

I read the above quote on some random blog and it touched me. My plan is to LIVE IT!
