Well, Shawn and I have decided to 'trash' the pills and attempt to get PREGNANT!
(As seen in the above photo!!!)
This is such a scary time for me because I continue (during the 2 days that I have officially been off the pill...ha-ha) to rethink this decision.... Am I doing the right thing? Am I too old for a baby? Can I survive with little sleep? Can I survive with out my continuous flow of Coca-Cola? Will I be a good mommy? How will Gordie (our 'first born', a mini dachshund who we adore!) react to the change? Can I really handle giving birth? Can we really afford a baby?
So many questions....
So I have created this blog to be my 'sounding board' through this process!
Any advice, thoughts, encouragement, and prayers is graciously accepted and appreciated!! :-)
Ok, So here we go............

If you are as good of a mother as you are a friend, you will be the best! Team work is the name of the game... no matter how hard it is at times. Relax and enjoy the practice sessions, try not to over focus and it will happen in no time.

Leigh,
First of all-RELAX! (which I know is hard for you) LOL. Changes in our lives are always scary for everyone & we can think of tons of reasons why we shouldn't make a change. Everything ALWAYS has a way of working out. You will do well during pregnancy and childbirth because you give 200% to everything that you do! My best advise is: go with your gut instincts, and take everyone's "well meaning advise" with a grain of salt. Remember, not all prgnancies, childbirth and babies are the same. You are in a perfect position to raise a child. You can set your own schedule and rearrange your day if you have too little sleep or your child is sick. Most Moms & Dad do not have that luxury! I will be happy to watch the little one while you are here. LOL I will keep you and Shawn in my prayers.
